What You Can Do

Image
What you can do is to do your best. Honestly, authentically, with no excuses or cutting corners, just go ahead and do your best. To effect a change you have to lead by example and the change starts with you. No matter what you do and how you do it, you have to begin somewhere. Some people might appreciate it, and many others probably will not. What really matters, though, is not what others think or say, but the fact that you’ve given your very best to the effort. So don’t hold yourself back out of fear or anxiety about the way you’ll be received. Push yourself forward, true to your highest ideals, focused on your dreams, your values, your passions. What you can do is to do your best, and it can be spectacular. What you can do is contribute to life in your own special way. Courage comes from realizing how profoundly blessed you are to be able to make a difference. Feel your good fortune, feel your courage, and put it into action. Today, experience how right it is to do what you can do.

Importance of Communication

Image
Effective Communication is significant for managers in the organizations so as to perform the basic functions of management, i.e., Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling. Communication helps managers to perform their jobs and responsibilities. Communication serves as a foundation for planning. All the essential information must be communicated to the managers who in-turn must communicate the plans so as to implement them. Organizing also requires effective communication with others about their job task. Similarly leaders as managers must communicate effectively with their subordinates so as to achieve the team goals. Controlling is not possible without written and oral communication. Managers devote a great part of their time in communication. They generally devote approximately 6 hours per day in communicating. They spend great time on face to face or telephonic communication with their superiors, subordinates, colleagues, customers or suppliers. Managers also use Written Commu

Keep Yourself In Action

Image
When you seek to do something ambitious, there will be a certain number of unsuccessful attempts you make before finally getting it right. Go ahead and get those unsuccessful attempts out of the way as quickly as you can. When the initial effort fails to yield the desired result, there’s no reason to get upset about it. Because it means you’re one attempt closer to the one that does get the result you want. Though it seems natural to feel discouraged when you fall short of the mark, you’re actually moving yourself closer to the goal with every action. Keep going, keep learning, and you will soon get it right. When you keep yourself in action, good things are sure to come of it. When you keep yourself in action, you’ll find your way to whatever you seek. Make another phone call, write another paragraph, walk another mile, read another book, paint another picture, sing another song, and work another hour. Yes you can do it, and when you keep doing it, you work your way to spectacular res

How to Write a Sample Letter Thanking Someone for a Job Well Done

Image
Thanking someone for a job well done is not only polite, it also helps to build relationships and motivate the recipient to continue contributing his best work. When writing a thank-you letter, follow standard letter-writing etiquette, using a sincere tone and being specific about how the person contributed and what his efforts mean to you or to your organization. Basics Send the letter as soon as possible after the event or project you're thanking the person for, ideally within 24 hours and no more than two days later. Etiquette experts usually recommend sending a handwritten or typed letter for a more personal touch, but if you know the person well and frequently communicate by e-mail, that's also appropriate. E-mail is also acceptable if it's important to send the letter quickly, advises the Emily Post Institute, especially if it's sent as "a prelude to a handwritten note." If you're sending a handwritten or typed letter, use high-quality paper in white

A motivation letter is a personal letter, so use your own style to show who you are. “Stick to the point” . Companies want to know why you want to work in their company, so don’t use complex language constructions or long poeti c phrases. Be as concrete as possible. “Don‟t let your motivation letter and your CV „echo‟” . Ruffle Some Feathers

If you’re not ruffling a few feathers, you’re probably not getting much done. If you’re not running into difficult problems, then you’re falling far short of your potential. You are superbly equipped to meet great challenges and to create great achievements. If you’re just maintaining the status quo, there’s a whole lot more valuable stuff you could be doing. What you did yesterday was fine for yesterday. However, today is a new day, filled with new possibilities, so get busy exploring those possibilities. Make yourself a little bit uncomfortable by reaching a little beyond what you’re sure you can do. Challenge yourself in a meaningful way, and you will quickly grow to meet those challenges.  Ruffle a few feathers, including your own. Explore the vast territory that lies beyond your comfort zone, and discover value you never knew existed. This is a new day, so live it as a new day. This is your opportunity to add something to your life and your world that’s never been there before, so

Choose To Do It

You can do it if you choose to do it. So choose now to do it. Set a goal and make it happen. Keep going until you have it done. The way forward may involve some complexity and a good deal of effort, yet at its heart it is not complicated. Boiled down to its pure essence, success is just a matter of choosing to make it happen, and then using the best of what you have to get there. The days ahead will surely pass no matter what you decide to do with them. Decide to make good use of them, to show yourself and all the world how good life can be. Step decisively away from the excuses, past the doubts and beyond your hesitation. Step into a satisfying sense of momentum and achievement. Choose to actually do what you really wish to do. And choose to take great delight in all that’s necessary to make it happen.

Keep Yourself Accomplishing

Keep yourself active, and make all that activity count for something. Keep yourself active, and keep yourself accomplishing. Before you devote your valuable time to anything, consider what it will actually accomplish. Invest your time in purposeful, meaningful activities, not in empty busyness. It’s great to stay busy. It’s much more advantageous, though, to have something to actually show for being so busy. A moment wasted can never be regained. A moment spent in meaningful accomplishment, however, can extend its value indefinitely. You have more than enough time to achieve whatever you choose, if only you will respect and make full use of the value of that time. Step back, look at what you’re doing with your time, and remind yourself it is among your most valuable assets. With the time available to you, keep yourself accomplishing. Let go of the meaningless, wasteful pursuits, and exchange your time for the rich, wonderful life you deserve.

Live Your Love

Live your passion, live your curiosity, and live your dreams. In this moment, live your values. With each person you meet, live your compassion, your respect, your authenticity. Don’t just think about, or wish for, or admire whatever is most meaningful to you. In every moment, in every action, in every word and thought, live it. Spend your time really, truly enjoying whatever you enjoy. Go beyond the mere appearance of richness and fulfillment, and live your richness, live your fulfillment. Stop doing things just to say you’ve done them. Do whatever you do because there is something deep inside that implores you to do it. Life is yours to live right now. Be true, be you, and be filled with the unique joy that is yours to experience.

Unrealized Potential

You have vast amounts of unrealized potential. Now is your time to transform the good things that could be into the good things that are. There is great abundance in this universe. Today is a fresh new opportunity to harvest and express that abundance in specific, meaningful ways that will enrich all of life. Yes, it can be done and you can be the person who does it. Yes, it will take significant effort and you are able to make that effort. You’ve already proven how capable you are by navigating your way through life’s many and varied challenges up to this point. Now, seek to take on new challenges and to create new value. Whatever you have already achieved, you owe yourself the splendid, satisfying experience of working to achieve even more. Your unrealized potential has been waiting long enough, so jump forward and bring it to life. Throw away all the excuses, step beyond your doubts and hesitations, and go for it. Feel the great treasure that’s already so very close, and make it rea

Allow Peace Inside

Being active and ambitious does not have to mean being frenzied and stressed. In fact, being at peace on the inside can make you much more effective on the outside.  Do what you do without fighting against it. Give your presence and full attention to what you’re doing while keeping your spirit in a place of peace and acceptance.  Choose your actions by being fully involved in and informed by the world around you. Choose your attitude by being ever thankful for your opportunity to experience it all.  Life is constantly placing demands on you. You can choose to feel peacefully empowered by those demands and by the positive possibilities for progress that come with them. Don’t make an unnecessary burden for yourself. Instead of creating stress inside, allow peace to fill your spirit. Equip yourself in the most effective way to deal with whatever may come. Allow peace, deep inside, and act always from a place of peaceful power.

Embrace the Inconvenience

Life doesn’t happen only after you neatly tidy everything up. Life happens all the time, in the moment that is now. You can’t just put off your enjoyment, put off your actions, and put off living your values until conditions are ideal. Now is the time to enjoy, to get work done, and to give focus and substance to those things that matter most. So what if it’s not perfect, or if it’s complicated, confusing or inconvenient? This is your opportunity to live and to make progress, so take full advantage of it. You won’t ever get all the questions answered and all the loose ends tied up. However, there is much you can accomplish when you decide to go ahead no matter what. If something is inconvenient, then embrace the inconvenience and resolve to make good come out of it. Be okay with things not being perfect and you’ll be able to get much more done. Under any circumstance, at any time, is a time that you can use to make the world better. Take life as it comes, and give it your best.

Empathy

You have your own perspective, and it is well-informed and valuable. Yet you do not know it all, and it’s a good idea to avoid the assumption that you do. Other people may often frustrate and annoy you, and you may wonder how they could be so ignorant, immature, misinformed or whatever. But you only see a very small part of their perspective, and cannot possibly know everything that goes into their decisions. Being overly judgmental rarely does anyone any good. Look for opportunities to replace judgment with empathy. By all means, live and act with excellence, and expect excellence from others. When others fail to live up to your expectations, find ways to offer help rather than to cause hurt. Seek to understand, and to encourage genuine understanding in others. Let go of the need to lecture and to rant, so you can spend more of your precious life in a positive state. Make connections instead of judgments. And make the best of every situation and of every person you encounter.

Intentions Empowers

Intention empowers your life. Intention activates your passion, energizes your efforts, and pushes you past your fears. For intention to do all these things, it must be authentic. When it is authentic, intention carries the power to achieve anything. To put that power into what you do, acknowledge and embrace who you truly are. There are specific things you really want to do with life, so give yourself the intention to do them. Point yourself in a direction you have chosen, a direction you care about. Set your path based not on the superficial fashions of the moment, but on the spirit living deep inside you. Feel that spirit, and the positive values connected to it, and you feel your power. Resolve to give new beauty, excellence and substance to life, and you will suddenly find yourself doing it. Empower your day, your year, your life with authentic intention. Live the way you are meant to live, and do all you are meant to do.

Put what you know to the best you can

Life is demanding and you have succeeded in meeting all those demands. You have persisted through every challenge and you can do it again. In fact, you’ve become skilled at working your way forward. Today is another great opportunity to put your skills to work. Over and over again, you have proven you can make a difference. Think of how you can apply that ability to make this a richer, more fulfilling and enjoyable day. Take a deep breath, feel your strength, your competence, and your desire to bring new beauty to life. Remind yourself of how thankful you are for the progress you’ve been able to create. Then turn toward the world, turn toward the possibilities, and create some more good substance. Seize upon the chances to put your skills to work in meaningful ways. Make good things happen today. Because that is what you do.

Creativity Out Of Something or ...

Creativity is not making something out of nothing. Creativity is making meaning out of something. The raw material of life and of creativity has always been present. In order to be creative, you don’t have to make anything materialize out of thin air. Creativity is never out of reach because life’s abundance is always very much within reach. To be creative, take what is already there and apply it in a way that makes life richer and more enjoyable. Whether you wish to create an object, an idea, a story, song, picture or experience, the ingredients are already present. Start with what you know, with what you have, add a lot of what you love, and you’ll create value. Instead of waiting for a great idea to hit you, realize that you already are the great idea. Go with what feels good, interesting, useful, satisfying and fulfilling, and you’ll go far. Creativity is your birthright, so claim it in every area of your life. Take what is there, add yourself to it, and live creatively every day.

Narrow the Possibilities

Every restaurant has many different items on the menu, yet you have to choose one or two of those items in order to enjoy a good meal. Every day is filled with countless possibilities, and you must narrow down those possibilities if you are to get anything done. If you attempt to do everything, your focus becomes scattered and diluted. And you end up doing very little. Eating every item on the menu, if you could even do it, would make you miserable. Choosing wisely, sticking with your choices and seeing them through, creates a much more enjoyable experience. The quality of your life is not based on the quantity of things you can stuff into it. The quality of your life comes from the love and attention and genuine joy you are able to give. Don’t drive yourself crazy in a vain attempt to know everything, do everything, see everything and have everything. Instead, choose a few things at a time and enjoy giving depth and meaning to them. Narrow the possibilities of each day down to the one

Move on Take the 1st Step

It’s great to make detailed plans, but you can’t possibly figure out every detail in advance. Get going, keep going, with a clear destination always in mind, and you’ll discover how to make your way there. Much of the value of any achievement comes from all the new things you learn along the way. So even if you’re not sure you’re ready to start, go ahead and start. Embrace experience as your teacher. Welcome the challenges that will strengthen every part of you. Speculation, pondering and learning from others all have their place. At some point, though, you must put it all into practice and work your own way to the goal you have chosen. Make that point sooner rather than later. Give more of your life the benefit of your real-life experience. Demolish your doubts with action. Go ahead, get started, and enjoy discovering how great you can do.

Daily Reminder

Tell yourself something often enough, and it becomes truth for you. What are you telling yourself over and over again? If you tell yourself again and again that you can’t do something, you’re never going to do it. Even when you are perfectly able, you can convince yourself you’re absolutely not. As you look at your world and make your way through it, whatever you’re repeating to yourself will have significant consequences. That can be a big burden, or a grand opportunity. There’s no benefit in deluding yourself to believe you have superhuman powers. Yet there’s great benefit in constantly reminding yourself of the real and accessible powers you do have. You can think, you can act, and you can focus your actions toward a specific purpose. You can feel, understand, create, adapt to new situations, build, improve, love and enjoy. When you think to yourself and talk to yourself, think of all the good you’ve done and all the good you can now do. Remind yourself, again and again, that you ca

Small Stuff Something

There’s some little something you can do, some little change you can make today, that will make your life better. Go ahead, give yourself a positive gift, and do it.  There’s something you know you’ve been doing, or neglecting to do, that’s been holding you back. This is your opportunity to change it.  You don’t have to change the whole world to make a noticeable difference in your life. Even a small change in what you do can make a big improvement in the way you feel. As comfortable as your old habit may be, it’s not taking you where you want to go. Very soon, you can be just as comfortable, and a whole lot more satisfied, with a new, more positive habit. Life is what you make it, and all the little choices add up. Improve the quality of those choices, and you will improve the quality of your situation. Get the moments of this day working in your favor by making more of your actions work in your favor. Improve some little something you do, and experience the power you have to change y

Think & Then Do

Image
Think, but don’t overthink. Consider the implications before you act, but don’t agonize and analyze so deeply that you fail to make anything happen. Think, then do what you think about. You cannot solve every problem in advance, so accept that you’ll have to make some adjustments as you go along. Figure out what you intend to do, but don’t hold yourself back while you figure it all out. Jump in and get started, and use your powerful mind in combination with your effective actions. Stop fretting and worrying about what might or might not happen. Get busy and find out. Commit to a course of well-considered action and then do everything in your power to honor your commitment. That’s the path to achievement. Imagine, and then create real, live substance out of what you imagine. Think, act, live, and enjoy the richness of a positive, purposeful existence.
