10 Impressive Questions to Ask in a Job Interview

Image
As someone who has  interviewed  probably thousands of job candidates in my career, I’ve long been surprised by how many people don’t ask good questions when their  interviewer gives them the opportunity . A surprising number of candidates don’t have many questions at all, or simply use the time to try to further pitch themselves for the job. To me, this is crazy — after all, this is a job that you’re considering spending 40 or more hours at a week, a job that might have a huge impact on your career and your quality of life for years to come. You should have  questions ! But people understandably worry about what to ask. They stress about seeming demanding or nitpicky, or that they’ll be negatively judged for things they want to know. They also worry that they don’t quite know how to draw out the information they really want about the job or the manager or the company. So here are the ten best questions to ask in an interview when it’s your turn to ask the questions — to both i

How To Be Highly Successful And Unstoppable

To get ahead in your career or seek out a new job, you need a high level of self-confidence. You have a couple of options, including dedicating months to absorbing dozens of self-help books, spending a small fortune on a career and life coach, giving up because it’s too hard or simply following this easy to-do checklist: 1. Turn off the television. 2. Put down your phone. 3. Set goals, write them down and work toward manifesting and achieving them every single damn day. 4. Keep physically, mentally and emotionally fit to power through the tough times. 5. It’s okay to be afraid; just keep moving forward anyway. 6. Never stop, never quit and never give up. 7. Surround yourself with smart, positive, upbeat and enthusiastic people. 8. Always stay alert and keep your eyes and ears open to learn about the next great opportunity. 9. Keep things in perspective. Don’t fret over the small stuff. Appreciate all the good things in your life. 10. Focus on the one or two things that you excel at and

RUNNING A COMPANY IN 2019

The problem with most business is that CEOs or GM don’t sit close to the customers. Ego kills. Not knowing and understanding the new age market has put many brands out of work... Here’s how most businesses are run:  1. The CEO sits at the center, completely disconnected from what’s actually happening in the market. 2. They make decisions based on old data that doesn’t make sense anymore. 3. The CEO spends too much time inside the company to drive it forward in a meaningful way.   Here’s how I believe companies should actually be run:  1. The CEO should be as close to the customers as possible. 2. The company should be able run separately, for the most part. 3. The CEO should be able to bring real time data and bring the right vision to lead the company forward.  So tell me what you think? Share your thoughts... Are you a peoples person? Not to the staff but to your customers.

The 3 Things Employees Really Want: Career, Community, Cause

Strike up a conversation about work values, and it won’t be long before someone brings up a pyramid — a famous psychologist’s best-known theory. Abraham Maslow’s  big idea  was that we all have a hierarchy of needs: once our basic physiological and safety needs are fulfilled, we seek love and belongingness, then self-esteem and prestige, and finally self-actualization. But that pyramid was built more than half a century ago, and psychologists have  recently concluded  that it’s in need of renovation. When you review the evidence from the past few decades of social science, it’s hard to argue with Maslow’s starting point. If your basic needs aren’t met, it’s hard to focus on anything else. If you have a job that doesn’t pay enough, and you’re up all night worrying about survival, chances are you won’t spend much time dwelling on self-actualization. But Maslow built his pyramid at the dawn of the human relations movement, when so many workplaces in the manufacturing economy didn’t have b

The Purpose Of Life Us Not Happiness: Its usefulness!

True leadership is not so much about what is in your head as about what is in your heart and how you use that to inspire others to greatness. A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.. For the longest time, I believed that there’s only purpose of life: And that is to be happy. Right? Why else go through all the pain and hardship? It’s to achieve happiness in some way. And I’m not the only person who believed that. In fact, if you look around you, most people are pursuing happiness in their lives. That’s why we collectively buy shit we don’t need, go to bed with people we don’t love, and try to work hard to get approval of people we don’t like. Why do we do these things? To be honest, I don’t care what the exact reason is. I’m not a scientist. All I know is that it has something to do with history, culture, media, economy, psychology, politics, the information era, and you name it. The list is endless. We are who we are. Let’s just accept that. Most people love to analyze why p
