When Man Has Nothing, He Is Humble

By Amarjeet Singh @ AJ

When man has nothing, he is modest and humble.
When man has everything, he becomes blind to what truly matters.
When man has power, he often forgets where he came from.

This is the cycle of humanity — the rise, the drift, and the fall. When we are struggling, we pray harder, listen deeper, and appreciate every small blessing. When success comes, we start believing it was our own doing — that we deserve it more than others. And when power follows, the illusion of control begins — we stop listening, we stop learning, and we start dictating.

True strength is not in wealth or position, but in how grounded you remain when both are in your hands. Many people can survive hardship, but very few can survive success. Because power doesn’t change a person — it only reveals what was already hidden inside.

💰 When Greed Takes Over

The worst is when power meets greed — and greed feeds on ignorance. We see it every day in politics, where those elected to serve the people start serving themselves. They forget the promise, the struggle, and the faces that believed in them. Once simple men and women of the soil, now blinded by position and surrounded by those who only echo praise.

And when greed matures, ignorance follows. They stop seeing the pain of others. They divide communities, play racial cards, and use religion or fear to hold on to their power. They create enemies where there were once neighbours — all to feed their ego and survive another term.

It is not power that corrupts — it is the loss of humility that destroys a man.

💭 A Final Thought

Be humble when you rise, be grateful when you have, and be kind when you lead. Because everything you own — power, position, and people — can disappear in a moment. But the way you made others feel will echo long after you are gone.

History has shown again and again: Empires fall not from poverty, but from pride. Leaders fall not from weakness, but from arrogance. And nations fall not from enemies — but from the blindness of their own rulers.
