🌿 Why Giving Lightens Our Souls: A Story of Love, Family, and Purpose
In life, there are moments when our hearts feel full — not because of what we receive, but because of what we give. Helping others has a strange way of lighting our own path. It fills our homes with warmth and our souls with calm. It is in giving that we truly receive — peace, meaning, and joy.
💛 When the World Stood Still — and Hearts Moved
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the world froze. Streets were empty, but hearts were open. Without thinking twice, many of us rushed out — masks on, hearts pounding — to deliver food, rice, milk, and hope.
We didn’t do it for fame or recognition. We did it because we felt the pain of others. Because hunger and fear are universal languages. Because compassion is contagious — and it starts with one act of kindness.
“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.” — Muhammad Ali
🎄 The Spirit of Giving Never Ends
Every Christmas, we visit orphanages and homes. We collect lists of what children need — school bags, pencils, shoes, and dreams. It’s not about charity; it’s about preparing them for life.
We believe every child deserves to start the school year with dignity, with hope, with a reason to smile. And during festivals — whether it’s Vaisakhi, Deepavali, Christmas, or Raya — our kitchens are never closed. Pots are stirred not just with spices, but with love. No one should be left hungry when there’s enough to share.
“The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose.” — Mahatma Gandhi
🐾 Feeding the Forgotten Souls — Our Fur Friends
Some well-wishers and kind souls often come forward and say, “Amar, thanks for helping.” But the truth is — this spirit of giving belongs to all of us.
We didn’t stop with people. Many have seen how I prepare food and distribute it for our fur kids and stray dogs. These beautiful souls cannot speak, but they feel — hunger, fear, and love — just like us. They may not have words, but they have eyes that say “thank you” louder than any voice ever could.
I prepare their food with care — mixed with salmon oil for healthy coats and joints, turmeric (kunyit) for anti-inflammatory healing, vitamins for strength, and coconut oil for shine and immunity. Each ingredient is chosen with love and compassion.
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” — Mahatma Gandhi
They may be strays, but to me — they are reminders that kindness must go beyond species. They don’t have mouths to speak, but we have hands to feed, minds to think, and souls to care. If God gave us the ability to earn, He also gave us the responsibility to share.
“He who saves one life, saves the world entire.” — The Talmud
🌸 Why We Give — And What Karma Teaches Us
Every act of kindness sends ripples across the universe. That’s karma — not punishment, but a mirror. When we give, the universe finds a way to return it — sometimes as peace, sometimes as love, sometimes as unexpected blessings.
Giving doesn’t just help others — it heals us. It softens anger, mends old wounds, and makes our hearts lighter. Each act of compassion polishes the soul a little brighter.
“In the joy of others lies our own.” — Lord Mahavir
“Where charity stands watching and faith holds her hand, the soul is not barren but rich.” — Guru Nanak Dev Ji
👨👩👧👦 From Our Family, With Love
For us — it’s not only me. It’s my better half, Baljit Kaur. My brother Jay Jagjeet and his family. My sister Sukkhy. My brother Larenjit Singh. Our dear friends at RK Seremban. And countless cousins, nephews, and nieces who all chip in — not because we have too much, but because we care enough.
Each time we give — a meal, a uniform, a word of encouragement — we feel lighter. It reminds us that life’s true wealth isn’t measured by what we keep, but by what we share.
“Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” — Albert Einstein
✨ Why It Matters
Because one act of giving can spark ten others. Because a child who feels loved will grow up to love others. Because in a world full of noise, kindness still speaks the loudest. And because when our hands give, our hearts heal.
“What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others remains and is immortal.” — Albert Pike
🌤️ The Light We Carry
In helping others, we discover who we are meant to be. In feeding the hungry, we feed our souls. In sharing joy, we multiply it.
So keep giving — food, time, laughter, love. Because one day, someone will do the same for you. And that’s the beauty of being human.
🕊️ “We rise by lifting others.” — Robert Ingersoll
