BIKING BROTHERS
Whatever the bike. Whatever the brand. Whatever the engine size.
What matters is the heart riding beside you.
A poem and reflection by Dr. Amarjeet Singh @ AJ
When the engines awaken
VROOM… VROOM… the engines roar,
Another sunrise, another road to explore.
The morning breeze, the open sky,
And brothers gathering as the world rolls by.
Some ride cruisers, some ride tourers,
Some ride old machines, some ride newer.
Big bikes, small bikes, whatever their name,
The love of riding remains the same.
Brotherhood makes us want to return.”
Mountains, rivers, bends & curves
The mountains rise, the valleys fall,
Winding roads are calling us all.
Through sweeping bends and gentle curves,
Each turn brings a wonder the traveller deserves.
Rivers shimmer, waterfalls sing,
The wind reminds us what freedom brings.
Some roads are quiet, some skies turn grey,
But brothers look out for each other all the way.
Coffee, food & complete nonsense!
Then comes the shout: “Coffee, boys!”
And suddenly the stop erupts in noise.
One wants tea, another wants food,
One starts complaining about his mood.
One checks his tyres, another his chain,
One says, “My backside is killing me again!”
One says, “I'm on a diet, that's my plan!”
Then orders extra roti canai before anyone can! 😂
The bikes are parked, but the mouths won't stop—
The loudest engines are now in the coffee shop!
Every group has its characters
There's one who talks from dawn till night,
One who insists he's always right.
One who knows every road by heart,
Yet gets us lost before we start!
One says, “I still feel twenty-five!”
Then needs a stretch to stay alive.
One takes pictures of every plate,
While hungry brothers sit and wait! 😂
We tease, we argue, we laugh and shout,
That's what these crazy rides are all about.
Beneath the jokes and all the noise,
Are hearts of gold in grown-up boys.
is just traffic with better jackets.” 😂
Brothers by choice
Not every brother shares our blood,
Some are found through rain and mud.
Some arrive as strangers on two wheels,
Then become family through the bond one feels.
When one slows down, we wait ahead,
When one needs help, no brother is left.
When one is troubled, we lend an ear,
When one is hurting, his brothers are near.
Brotherhood isn't measured by speed,
But by who stands beside you in need.
The ride we will remember
Today we ride with strength and pride,
With laughter and brothers by our side.
Tomorrow our hair may turn to grey,
Our knees may ache along the way.
The rides may shorten, the pace may slow,
There may be fewer mountains left to go.
But one familiar engine sound,
Can bring a thousand memories around.
We'll remember the rain, the sun, the heat,
The roadside stalls and the food we'd eat.
The jokes that made us laugh till we cried,
The friends who always rode by our side.
🌈 The colours of brotherhood
One road. Many bikes.
Countless memories.
One brotherhood.
Let the engines sing, let the wheels turn,
Let every journey give us something to learn.
Let the old stories and laughter flow,
And cherish each brother wherever we go.
For the road may be endless,
But our time is not.
So treasure every brother,
And every moment we've got.
It wasn't the destination.
It was the brothers who made every journey worth remembering.”
